Geddy Starheart never needed anything but a custom blaster and a glass of Old Earth whisky. But ever since he was presumed dead in the accident that forced the evacuation of Earth 2, he's only had a microscopic alien named Eli for company. When the starship they built to return Eli to his home world disappears, Geddy makes a daring escape with the help of a passing salvage trawler. 
Along with Eli and his oddball new crew, Geddy risks everything to recover his missing ship. But each new clue reveals more about its connection to a mysterious cult called the Zelnads. Most people dismiss them as religious zealots with advanced tech, but Geddy comes to believe they're actually ancient aliens whose plans to end civilization are well underway.
