Summary

A man finds himself walking alone in the middle of a desert with no memory of who he is or how he got there.
Another man allows his DNA to be spliced together with a long-dead Martian race in order to survive on the red planet.
Both are about to find themselves in a struggle for survival among the harshest conditions they could ever imagine.
This is the Science Fiction Double Feature, "Purple Haze" and "The Foodies of Mars", a pair of stories offered with two variant covers.
And fans of my horror need not worry; these are science fiction stories, but there's plenty of horror between these pages as well.  In fact, you may never look at a hot day, or a plate of food, the same way again.

Available since: 05/12/2019.

The Gaelic Literature Awards 2020 Best Unpublished Manuscript for Adults - Linne Dhomhain by Alistair Paul.
Ordinary people. Everyday situations. Extraordinary outcomes. One small twist of fate and the normal turns to the fantastic. And so, the book's characters are propelled into the world of the marvellous, the supernatural and the surreal; not to mention the ridiculous; where they wrestle with their demons, their desires and their failings. Sometimes they triumph. Sometimes life triumphs. Their stories take us from the familiar shores of the Highlands through the smoky streets of Glasgow and the industrial heartlands of the North of England to the sun-scorched African Savannah.
Taking inspiration from local folklore on the island of Arran, traditional Gaelic storytelling themes and techniques are weaved into modern topics such as relationships, drug use and mental illness. Take a walk up the glen and dive into the deep pool.

Gillian Roberts is the nom de mystEre of mainstream novelist Judith Greber. Winner of the Anthony Award and a favorite of mystery fans across the country, the Amanda Pepper mysteries are an irresistible combination of wit and intrigue. English teacher and part-time sleuth Amanda Pepper is enjoying Philadelphia’s famous Mummers’ Parade—reveling in costumes that rival Mardi Gras and cheering for a brigade of ornately costumed clowns passing close by. Her festive spirit is shattered, however, when one of the costumed revelers sinks to the ground, and the amateur sleuth finds herself in the middle of a murder investigation in which the prime suspect is a fellow teacher at Philly Prep. Filled with feisty characters, humorous dialogue and a light touch of romance, The Mummer’s Curse will keep you guessing as Amanda’s investigation leads her deeper into the many rivalries and traditions of Philadelphia’s famous folk celebration.
