Summary
Almost two millennia ago, a group of Jewish leaders plotted the execution of a young man, Jesus of Nazareth. The death of this young Jew has had implications for the whole of humankind ever since. The Miracles of the Messiah re-examines the events of those days and places them in the culture of the period. It will seek to answer the following questions: Did Jesus of Nazareth claim to be anything more than a travelling teacher? If so, what were his claims? Did He provide any evidence to suggest that He had a special ministry? If so, what was that evidence? How did the nation's leaders investigate His claims and come to their decision? How did Jesus respond to the decision of the nation's leaders to execute Him? A right understanding of the answers to these questions is necessary to appreciate how one decision, made by a relatively small number of men, in a small, Middle Eastern country, could have affected countless generations of people ever since.
