Summary

The only burden heavier than past regrets is to forget them. After her father's sudden death, Charlotte Winslow must give up her highborn lifestyle to fend for herself on the outskirts of London. Painting under an assumed name, Charlotte makes just enough to live happily in a humble cottage—just herself and a cat named Rex. But her peaceful world is turned upside down when a carriage accident leaves Lord Rexford in her care. The very man who scorned her years before and his meddling mother make themselves comfortable in Charlotte’s small house as he recovers his health and memory. But the longer they stay in her cottage, the more Lord Rexford's thoughts seem to linger on his self-sufficient, no-nonsense host. Could it be that he remembers more than he lets on?

Three romances in one from the USA Today–bestselling author of The Reluctant Highlander, filled with the rebellious passion of Scotland’s restless border.   Set on the turbulent border between Scotland and England in the sixteenth century, these meticulously researched novels offer enthralling love stories set against a backdrop of historical conflict.   In Border Bride, Mary Kate MacPherson, a proud Highland beauty wages a battle against arrogant borderer Sir Adam Douglas. Borderer men may consider their wives possessions, but Mary Kate intends to show the seductive knave her father promised her to that a Highland lass is no man’s furniture.   In Border Fire, highwayman Rabbie Redcloak has caused nothing but trouble for the English with his raiding and fighting. But when he’s captured, Janet Graham is determined to prevent the hanging of the silver-tongued Rabbie before Truce Day. And her decision has nothing to do with the way her body heats just at the thought of him . . .   And in Border Storm, Lady Laurie Halliot, the rebellious daughter of a Scottish march warden, knows what marriage is about: money, power, and little else. When her runaway sister is accused of murdering an English soldier, however, Laurie offers herself as a hostage until the accused is found. And to preserve Laurie’s reputation while in captivity, she agrees to a handfast wedding to the devastatingly handsome, yet equally reluctant, groom, Sir Hugh Graham.

Scottish pride, persuasion, and passion―this is Highland romance at its breathtaking best. From USA Today bestselling author May McGoldrick comes Highland Crown, the first book in the Royal Highlander series.
        Inverness, 1820
Perched on the North Sea with the Highlands at its back, this port town—by turns legendary and mythological—is a place where Highland rebels and English authorities clash in a mortal struggle for survival and dominance. Among the fray is a lovely young widow who possesses rare and special gifts.     WANTED: Isabella Murray Drummond
A rare beauty and trained physician, Isabella has inspired longing and mystery—and fury—in a great many men. Hunted by both the British government and Scottish rebels, she came to the Highlands in search of survival. But a dying ship's captain will steer her fate into even stormier waters. . . and her heart into flames.
        FOUND: Cinaed Mackintosh
Cast from his home as a child, Cinaed is a fierce soul whose allegiance is only to himself. . .until Isabella comes along. Now that she's saved his life—and added more risk to her own—there is nothing Cinaed won't do to keep Isabella safe. Soon, the couple's only choice is to seek refuge at Dalmigavie Castle, the Mackintosh family seat, where the scandalous truth of Cinaed's past throws any chance of a bright future with Isabella into complete darkness. What will these two ill-fated lovers have to sacrifice to be together…for eternity?
