Summary

(Blood Vice Book Six)
Jenna Skye, the new Duchess Tempus of House Lilith, is losing her mind. After spending eight months holed up in the duke's manor with her new sire, the slightly nutty and ever moody Ursula, all she wants to do is to get out of the house. She'll take any excuse she can to ditch the princess's etiquette lessons and do something worthwhile with her time—even if it means visiting a fancy blood finishing school where one of Dante's potential scions has gone missing.
Jenna's sudden jealousy forces her to take a closer look at the conflicted feelings she has for Dante, and the guilt she still harbors over Roman Knight's fateful farewell. Of course, a house full of new residents, preparations for the upcoming All Hallows' Eve ball, and unsolved murders don't leave much time for introspection.

Dr Death the coroner stood in the morgue autopsying a victim attributed to his son the Necromancer. Then out of thin air appeared a grim reaper.
"I see dead people," it said the doctor jumped startled by the sudden appearance of the reaper.
"Ha! Ha! Very funny, boy," said the doctor humourlessly, "This is a friend of yours I hear say hello to him."
"I've never met him in life," The reaper the Necromancer said.
"Are you serious?" asked Dr Death grimly.
"Yes who is he?" replied the Necromancer, "It's starting to look like anyone can kill someone and frame me for it."
"That means there is another killer out there it is serious," the coroner grumbled.
"The people in blue won't believe you when you tell them it is another killer," said the Necromancer.
"Looks like we will have to catch them ourselves, boy," said Dr Death to his son.

You don’t read the book. It reads you.Rumors of a deadly book have been floating around the dark corners of the deep web. It is a disturbing tale about a mysterious figure who preys on those who read the book and subjects them to a world of personalized terror.Jesse Wheeler — former guitarist of the heavy metal group the Rising Dead — was quick to discount the ominous folklore associated with the book. It takes more than some urban legend to frighten him. Hell, reality is scary enough. Seven years ago, his greatest responsibility was the nightly guitar solo. Then one night when Jesse was blackout drunk, he accidentally injured his son, leaving him permanently disabled. Dreams of being a rock star died when he destroyed his son's future. Now, he cuts radio jingles and fights to stay clean. But Jesse is wrong. The legend is real — and tonight, he will become the protagonist in an elaborate scheme specifically tailored to prey on his fears and resurrect the ghosts from his past.Jesse is not the only one in danger, however. By listening to this audiobook, you have volunteered to participate in the author's deadly game, with every moment drawing you closer to your own personalized nightmare. The real horror doesn't begin until you reach the end. That's when the evil comes for you.

In this provocative, darkly funny, and unique novel—a mix of Lord of the Flies and The Royal Tenenbaums—a dictator's former right-hand man becomes housebound and a family power struggle erupts.
Growing up on a Cuba-esque Caribbean island, Casandra, Calia, and Caleb endure life under two tyrannies: that of their parents, and the Island’s authoritarian dictator, Pop-Pop Mustache. Papa was the dictator's former right-hand man. Now, he’s a political pariah and an ugly parody of a tyrant, treating his home as a nation which he rules with an iron fist. As for Mom, his wife and hateful second in command, she rules from the mind. Obsessed with armchair psychoanalysis, she spends her days reading self-help books and seeks to diagnose the kids, and perhaps even herself.
But within these walls, a rebellion is fomenting. Casandra, a cynical, self-important teenager with the most unlikely of attractions, recruits Caleb, meek yet gifted with a deadly touch, to join her in an insurrection against their father’s arbitrary totalitarianism. Meanwhile, Calia, the silent, youngest sibling who just wants to be left alone to draw animals, may be in league with the flies—whose swarm in and around the house grows larger as Papa’s violence increases.
Equal parts Greek tragedy and horror, with a touch of J.D. Salinger and Luis Buñuel, The Tyranny of Flies is a biting and wholly original subversive masterpiece that examines the inherent violence of authority and the frightening and indelible links between patriarchy, military, and family.
