Summary

Forrest Scoville is used to being sized up and found wanting—built like a linebacker, teaching kindergarten. His students follow him around like he hung the moon. It's their parents who keep asking if he's really cut out for working with five-year-olds.

Conrad Langdon is one of those parents. Since he took custody of his grieving niece, Lizzie, she has flinched from almost everyone except her enormous, soft-spoken teacher. Even Conrad's own wariness around big men doesn't survive one real conversation with the man.

A shared obsession with Lego bricks pulls them into each other's orbit anyway, one late night at a time, until the gentleness inside all that size starts working on Conrad the way it already has on Lizzie. None of it changes the fact that Forrest grades her spelling tests, and dating a parent could get him fired.

Falling for his daughter's teacher breaks every rule Conrad has left, but staying away might cost Forrest the first person who's ever looked past every inch of him and seen exactly the right amount of man.

For the first time in Jimmy Hart's life, everything is going right. He is finally on the professional golf tour, he has an incredible boyfriend, and he feels like he's part of a family instead of standing on the outside and looking in. But just because his life is perfect doesn't mean his game is perfect. Getting on the pro tour was only the first step -- now that he's there, he has to find a way to stay there and now blow it!
But things start to unravel for Jimmy just six weeks after he won his spot. One bad tournament won't ruin his career, but it is still devastating to his self-confidence. After embarrassing himself in front of a home-town crowd, Jimmy isn't sure if he belongs on the tour anymore at all, or if his reputation of being inconsistent is right and he'll never amount to anything. Fortunately, his loving boyfriend, golf legend Ray Wilson, knows exactly what Jimmy needs to put this bad day behind him.

It's easy to become cynical when life never goes your way.

Cole Reid has been a social recluse since he was fifteen, when he was outed by his high school baseball team. Since then, his obsessive-compulsive behavior and sarcastic nature have driven away most of the population, and everyone else hates him because he's gay. As he sees it, he's bound to repulse any prospective friends, let alone boyfriends, so why bother?

By the time Cole enters college, he's become an uptight loner -- but it's not a problem until his roommate graduates and the housing department assigns Ellis Montgomery to move in with Cole. Ellis is messy, gorgeous, straight, and worst of all, a jock!

During a school year filled with frat buddies, camping expeditions, and meddling parents, Cole and Ellis develop a friendship that turns Cole's glass-half-empty outlook on its head. There must be more to Ellis than a fun-loving jock -- and maybe Cole's reawakening libido has rekindled his hope for more than camaraderie.

Johnnies: Book Two. Ten years ago David Worral had plans to go to college and the potential for a beautiful future in front of him. One tragic accident later, he fled to California and reinvented himself as Dex, top adult performer of Johnnies. Dex's life is a tangled mess now, but the guys he works with only see the man who makes them believe even porn stars can lead normal lives. When Kane, one of Dex's coworkers, gets kicked out of his house, the least Dex can do is give him a place to stay. Kane may be a hyperactive muscle-bound psycho, but he's also a really nice guy. What could be the harm? Except nothing is simple—not sex, not love, and not the goofy kid with the big heart who moves his life into Dex's guest room. When they start negotiating fractured pasts and broken friends, Dex wonders if Kane's honest nature can untangle the sadness that stalled his once-promising future. With Kane by his side, Dex just might be able to reclaim the boy he once was—and if he can do that, he can give Kane the home and the family he deserves. Winner of the 2013 Rainbow Award for Best Gay Contemporary General Fiction (tied) Sixth (tie): Best Gay Novel

At this mystery conference, murder is more than just another plot twist...
Nobody likes conferences, but they’re part of the job.
Millbrook House senior editor Keiran Chandler has spent years curating the best voices in crime lit, but when an unsolicited manuscript is handed to him at the Noir at the Shore mystery conference, truth collides with fiction. I Know What You Did is more than just another slush pile submission—it’s a direct threat.
U.N. Owen seems to know what really happened in Steeple Hill all those years ago. Who is Owen? How does he know these things? Clearly the mysterious author is after more than a book deal. But what?
With a potentially career-ending publishing merger on the horizon, the end of his affair with bestselling author and former homicide detective Finn Scott, and not so subtle threats from someone in his past, Keiran has a lot bigger problems than coming up with something witty to say on discussion panels.
