Richard Thompson
Richard Thompson is a celebrated singer, songwriter, and guitarist. After leaving the folk band Fairport Convention he mainly recorded as a solo artist. His songs have been covered by an array of musicians including R.E.M., Bonnie Raitt, Christy Moore, David Gilmour, Mary Black, Elvis Costello, The Corrs, The Pointer Sisters, Loudon Wainwright III, The Futureheads, Jeff Lang, Dinosaur Jr., and David Byrne.
