Donald Philipp Verene
Donald Phillip Verene is Charles Howard Candler Professor Emeritus of Metaphysics and Moral Philosophy at Emory University and Fellow of the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei. His works include Vico’s Science of Imagination; The New Art of Autobiography; Philosophy and the Return to Self-Knowledge; Moral Philosophy and the Modern World; The Philosophy of Literature; and The Rhetorical Sense of Philosophy. He has held visiting appointments at Oxford University, University of Toronto, University of Rome “La Sapienza,” and the Folger Shakespeare Library, Washington, D.C.
